Story
On 30th August 2022, we are entering the world’s oldest swim!
The Hellespont and Dardanelles crossing is a significant open water swim of 4½ km between Europe and Asia. It was officially swum for the first time by the famous poet, Lord Byron, in 1810, and ever since has been considered the absolute epitome of open water swimming.
We are swimming for Alzheimer’s Research UK: the charity leading the fight against Dementia. All donations go directly to the charity, and a £20 donation funds one hour of research!
Thank you for your time,
Ben Schrevel & Louis Alexander
