Story
In 2000, as an extremely active 14-year-old who was playing amateur basketball, I thought the persistent pain around my pelvic area and the substantial fatigue I felt after the training sessions were the result of my intensive tempo.
However, after two months of investigations, I was told I had a rare form of bone cancer, Ewing Sarcoma.
It was a life-altering experience in every way that can be imagined. To put it simply, I spent two of my teenage years shuttling back and forth between home, hospitals and clinics for chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
I was lucky to be cured, and fortunately, today I have no physical impairment or mental health issues caused by Ewing Sarcoma, directly or indirectly.
I know that's not the case for everyone who was affected by this disease. So, I wanted to do something positive. I am composing a music piece to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The composition will be dedicated to everyone who fights against cancer. The plan is to make the release before Aug 2021. I will share a link to download the track for free and it will be available on digital music platforms under my artist page, The Guv, as well.
If you'd like to support me on this cause and help raise money for Cancer Research UK then feel free to donate whatever you can.
