Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Originally, this page was set up for both Naomi and Matt to raise money however due to an injury, Matt is unable to complete his challenges this year. Instead, he is aiming to do them when he is fully recovered - so watch this space.

During 2023 Naomi has set herself some challenges and would like to raise some money for Hospice at Home West Cumbria along the way (see the list below). She had a £300 target to begin with that then moved to £500 but because of your very generous donations, it's been upped it to £1000 target!

Naomi's Challenges:

2nd Jan: New Year Half Marathon (13 mile race) - completed in 2:08:59 (new 15km, 10mile 20km & half marathon PB, plus 2nd fastest 10km and 3rd fastest 1km)

25th March: Coniston 14 (14 mile race) - completed in 2:13:50 (new 1km, 10km, 15km, 10mile, 20km and Half Marathon PB, plus 3rd fastest 1/2mile)

2nd April: 3 Village 10 Run (10 mile race): completed in 1:31:13 (new 2mile, 10km, 15km & 10mile PB, plus 2nd fastest 5km)

8th April: Isel Cross Race (5.5miles): completed in 51:51 (new 1km & 1 mile PB, plus 2nd fastest 1/2 mile)

17th - 24th: Climb Mount Toubkal, the tallest mountain in North Africa (4167m) - We summited on Friday 21st April. It was incredible!

29th April: Lorton 10km: completed in 00:57:26 (2nd fastest 10km)

3rd May: Lowka 10km: completed in 52:02 (new 1km & 10km PB and second fastest 5km, 1/2mile and 1 mile)

3rd June: Grassmere Gallop 10km: completed in 1:04:23

28th June: M-Sport 5km: completed in26:09 (3rd fastest 1km & 2miles)

4th July: Lambfoot Loop (10km): completed in 54:43 (5km & 2mile PB, 2nd fastest 10k & 3rd fastest mile)

2nd August: Netherhall 10km: completed in 53:36 (2nd fastest 10km)

9th September: The One 10 (10 mile race): completed in 1:40:29

10th September: Great North Run (Half Marathon/13 mile race): Completed in 2:14:36 (2nd fasted half marathon time)

1st October: The Great Cumbrian Run (Half Marathon/13 mile race): completed in 2:04:10 (New half marathon & 20k PB, 3rd fastest 10mile & 15k)

8th October: The Kielder Marathon (26 miles): completed in 4:55:37 (first ever marathon, 3rd fastest half marathon time)

15th October: Hadrian's Wall Half (Half Marathon/13 mile race): completed in 2:23:19

19th November: Brampton to Carlisle race (10 mile race): completed in 1:33:19 (2nd fastest 10mile & 15km)

Hospice at Home West Cumbria have helped with Naomi's elderly family members in the last stages of life and Naomi and Matt have seen first hand what an amazing charity they are. Matt has organised a number of fundraising activities for them in the past and plans on many more though his company Lakeland Mountain Guides.

About the charity

We provide high quality palliative and end of life care to people in their own homes and local communities across West Cumbria. We also offer emotional support, complementary therapies and specialist lymphoedema care. All our services are delivered free of charge to those who need them.
