Story
Hello! I am a Junior Doctor working in A&E and have been painting and creating prints of my artwork in my spare time during the COVID-19 pandemic. I would love to use this hobby to raise money for an incredible charity that is doing much-needed work during this time - please read below about ShelterBox's fantastic work.
Each print costs £7 including UK delivery but please feel free to donate more if you would like to. To order or to enquire about buying original pieces please direct message me on Instagram (@thegiftoftimeart) or email me on rakhighosh@hotmail.co.uk including which print(s) you would like and your full postal address. Payment will need to be made via this JustGiving page.
Further information from ShelterBox on their current work:
On 20 May Super cyclone Amphan made landfall in some of the poorest areas of Bangladesh and India. It is one of the biggest storms to hit the region in over 20 years. Both India and Bangladesh are already dealing with coronavirus outbreaks. Vulnerable people have been forced from their homes by the storm, only to face the risk of the deadly virus. As whole communities head to evacuation centres, social distancing and regular handwashing will become extremely difficult. Emergency shelter will allow families to move from crowded evacuation centres and safely social distance in their own shelter and essential items like water filters and mosquito nets will help protect families from other diseases and keep them safe from coronavirus. It's not just families in Bangladesh and India who need your support right now. From Syria, to Ethiopia, to the Philippines - conflicts, disasters and coronavirus have left thousands homeless and vulnerable. Shelter means more than ever.
