The Haven provides accommodation with Housing Support to men from the age of 17 who are involved with drug and alcohol abuse. We offer a structured programme based on Christian principles which is designed to help the residents acquire the life skills necessary for future independent living free from their addictions.

Story

The Fitness Factory is a brand new, state of the art training facility located in Port Glasgow. It is  owned  by personal  trainers Gary Pettigrew and Chris Millar.

One of the main objectives with this facility is to give  back to the local community and an opportunity to do so presented itself when The Haven Kilmacolm drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre reached out to TFF to provide a  10 week course for its residents.

The aim of this course  was to provide a training experince to help show the clients the positive effects that training can have on an individual’s lifestyle when dealing with addiction.. The response has been fantastic and the effort from all the guys has been outstanding.

The Haven  Kilmalcolm  is now in the process of having a small in house gym built for residents, and we here at TFF want to help. Both Chris, Gary, family members and TFF clients will be doing a charity hill walk up Conic hill on September 18th in aid of raising funds.

Having worked personally with the guys from the Haven  Kilmalcolm we see how genuine, honest and kind hearted they are.

All of them are trying their utmost to put the past behind them and build a better future for themselves and their families. As  some of our own  family members have struggled with addiction in the past its a subject close to our hearts.
