The Wokingham Borough Community Response to COVID-19
Managing the Covid-19 crisis is a team effort. The borough council, town and parish councils, voluntary groups, community organisations and charities, neighbourhoods and individual people are all pulling together to support those of us who need extra help at this time.
The Wokingham Borough Community Response is our borough-wide one stop shop for helping those in need during this difficult time.
The FiLF
The Wokingham band are pushing boundaries of traditional gigs, and bringing their live music and tunes on the road to your doorsteps across the borough and have approval to perform on 20th June 2020.
In partnership with Hall & Co builders, The FiLF will perform their #stayhomesavelives set on the back of a flatbed truck travelling through all the major housing areas of Wokingham.
"Our route covers around 16 miles of the town’s main housing areas, from Keephatch to Woosehill and Emmbrook to Montague Park with all major routes along the way. The set list will be varied, but will be uplifting and positive throughout."
“At such a difficult time, we want to spread some positivity and give people a reason to smile, which is what we’re all about".
"Also look out for our Music Videos 'Stay Home Tonight' , ‘Seven Nation’ and. ‘Give a little respect’ on Facebook, Instagram to help raise awareness for this amazing charity"
Due to the current rules on social distancing, each of us recorded separate music and vocal sessions individually, all whilst stay at our homes. A challenging process where the timing was critical. Each session was then layered in the edit to give one combined track!....We hope you like it, we think it's utter FiLF.
"We ask that you help us, by supporting our local community COVID-19 response team and their incredible efforts to help those less fortunate during these unprecedented times".
Can’t wait to see you all on the 20th June ... it’ll be epic
