Story
Who
We are the Dis Cycles.
A team of 4 dads who do life together in our local church in Eastbourne, East Sussex.
We each have 3 kids (a total of 8 boys and 4 girls between the families) aged from 3 years to 14 years old. With being dad's spare time to train will be challenge number 1 but we are each passionate about pushing ourselves and challenging ourselves to step out of the normal day-to-day life and do something new and different.
Each of us is taking part in this amazing challenge to not only push ourselves but mainly to inspire our kids and raise money for this amazing charity.
What
This is an extremely tough dawn-to-dusk event in the Lakes District. We will start the day at dawn with 40-mile bike ride around the imposing Skiddaw mountain. Once the cycle route is complete we will take on a 2-mile open water canoe course on Derwent Water. If that wasn't enough we will finish the day by summiting Skiddaw on an 11 mile round trip to an altitude of 931m finishing before the sunsets and dusk arrives.
