Story

We are raising money for Sight Scotland Veterans. In 2020 a routine eye test for Tom (centre) highlighted a retinal degeneration problem, further investigations throughout the year resulted in Tom being diagnosed with a genetic condition that would leave him blind in a few short years. Since 2020, Tom has lost his driving licence and with that a lot of his independence. His career in the Royal Navy also came to an end and he was medically discharged at the end of 2021. Sight Scotland Veterans have been a great support to Tom and also his wife Katie and this is our way of saying thank you for all the support, whilst also raising vital funds so that they can continue to offer life changing support to veterans who need it.
