Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In the ninth year of the Old Boys of Teddington Rugby Club Challenges, from 30th June to 5th July we have trekked over 100 miles of the Cornish Coastal Path from Newquay to Penzance, Porthleven via lands End, walking from 15 to 20 miles/day. We have blistered our feet and strained the joints, all for another excellent cause. The team, for once together as seen in main pic, was: Top row LtoR, Tim Smith, Chris Wright, John Cunnell, Derek Grant, Rob Allen, Terry O'Connor, Rod Bromfield, Adrian Yelland. Bottom row, LtoR, Vince Harte, Dave Dabney, Russ Jones, Dave Lea
This year it's in memory of a lovely lady, Judy Carmody, the much loved sister in law of one of our group. Judy sadly passed away in 2012. She was cared for by St Wilfrid's Hospice, Eastbourne, who provided the best possible care in her last days. The hospice were a great support to all of the family and she really found peace there at
the end. St Wilfrid's needs all the help it can get to perform its excellent charitable work. They are our chosen charity this year.
Once again we ask you to support a very good cause. We know it is a big ask every year but please dig deep and give what you can.
Thank you very much from us and more importantly,
St Wilfrid's Hospice

Progress report....
5th July. The sixth day, WE FINISHED!! at Porthleven. Total mileage, 100.5. Well done the younger fitter members who managed the whole route. Well done the older crocks who all did what they could and a special thanks to DEREK GRANT and CHRIS WRIGHT who both shared the driving of the support minibus and did some walking.
The fifth day completed from Lands End to Mousehole. Rain soaked trekkers finally gather together in one spot for a group pic. Terrain on this stage was definitely not cleared by health and safety. Wet rocks to scramble over, (who called it a path), were downright dangerous but we soldier on...
Now four days completed and we have made Lands End. Another long day with new boys Rob Allen, Russ Jones and Terry O'Conner helping to set the pace. Some old warhorses Rod, Ade and Derek cut the day short due to injury and affliction!
Now three days into the challenge. The septuagenarians in the group are finding it very hard going. See some new pics in the gallery.
