Event: The Co-operative Bank Stay Active September, on 29 September 2022
Take on an active challenge and support homeless young people this September.

Story

This September, I'll be hitting the streets with some of my colleagues, to support homeless young people by completing a 10mile sponsored walk in Manchester on Thursday 29th September.

The number of young people becoming homeless continues to rise, not least because of the cost of living crisis. Right now, thousands of young people are having to make heart-breaking choices. Where to sleep tonight; whether buy food or pay their bills; or if they can afford to continue studying. The Co-operative Bank, want to raise a total of £25,000 to give those young people a better future. I am personally aiming to raise £100, which the bank will match.

That money could answer 375 calls to Centrepoint’s Helpline, from 16-25 year olds who are afraid and in danger of homelessness. Or it could allow their Homelessness Prevention and Relief Team to support 60 young people in Manchester to escape homelessness and begin building a more positive future.
