Story
To paraphrase Danny Glover, “I’m too old for this sh*t”. I
really am. I should be putting my feet up and enjoying myself right now. But two years have passed without the FireFlies fund-raising for Blood Cancer, and cancer sufferers are more vulnerable right now that they have ever been, and we
all know how stretched our health services are.
And on top of that I lost a dear friend recently, a good man
who deserved for his life to endin a much better way, a hell of a lot better. So this time, it’s personal, I will ride for Robbie Toay every day and for all the other Dads, Mums, Brothers,
Sisters and Children who should still be here. I might be older, slower and fatter – but: For Those That Suffer, We Ride.
Blood Cancer UK is a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. They do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960,they've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, their community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
