Story

***************************************************************************************************************************************************** 23/10/2020 - Entries are now closed as we now have 100 participants - check it out again next year if you missed out this year **************************************************************************************************************************************************

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

We are a group of individuals who love the buzz of an early morning dip in the sea and then the daft craic afterwards. We thought that it would be a great way to be encouraged to keep the swimming going throughout winter and who doesn't love a challenge?

The challenge is over 5 months (150 days) from 01/11/20 until 31/03/2021. Your dip can be done in the sea, lake or river but not in your  bath - it must be cold, open water!

There are four award levels as follows:

1) Bronze - between 1 and 39 logged dips

2) Silver - between 40 and 79 logged dips

3) Gold - between 80 and 119 logged dips

4) Platinum - between 120 and 150 logged dips.

All dips will be logged by each participant on The Chatter Challenge 2020/21 Facebook page, preferably with photos, and this MUST be done on the day of the dip otherwise you risk them not being added. Admin will log the dips on a spreadsheet daily.

There is no minimum time to be spent in the water however the only neoprene allowed to be worn are gloves, socks and hat, if you need them.

**************************IMPORTANT STUFF*************************

Please ensure that you swim with a buddy to ensure your safety at all times - this is purely a bit of fun to raise money for a worthwhile charity and all participants must understand that it is done at your own risk and your participation must comply with current Government Covid-19 guidelines.

*************************IMPORTANT STUFF***************************.

The cost of the challenge is £15.00 per person however anyone can make a donation without participating.

Thanks to Naturally Chiropractic, Tynemouth for generously sponsoring the wonderful hats you will all receive.

Once you have donated - please send a message via Facebook to Admin to confirm that you have paid, with your details.

Thank you and best of luck - will there be anyone who achieves the 150 dips?
