Each year, Step by Step supports over 1,500 young people to end and prevent youth homelessness. Step by Step also delivers over 1,000 free counselling sessions to support young people with their mental health. Exercise is proven to improve your mental health, by reducing anxiety, depression, and negative mood and by improving self-esteem and cognitive function. These are aspects which STEP Workers often address with young people using a Step by Step service.
