I met Vicki Pirie on my first day at senior school in 1990.  After school we went our separate ways and Vicki went on to get married and have a daughter, Ella.  Ella was diagnosed with cancer just two weeks after her little brother Dan was born.  She bravely fought the disease for 17 months but very tragically lost her fight against cancer in January 2012, when she was just 5 years old.

 

A small Surrey-based charity called Momentum is now supporting the Giles family more than ever, as well as others whose children have cancer or similarly serious conditions.  This is a fantastic local charity which will really benefit from your donation.
