Story

We have recently lost a dear husband, dad, grandad, friend important member of our committee and the local community, Mr Colin Andrew Tinsley.

Last year Colin managed to kayak the 27 miles from Perth to Dundee, along with 11 others from Brechin Rugby club and the Strathie Rugby club in Forfar. The money they raised allowed a local girl to welcome a companion dog into her family, she would have not been able to receive this aid otherwise.

Colin Unfortunately passed away on the 4th of May, from Pancreatic cancer. Over the last few months and especially during his last 3 weeks, the Macmillan nurses helped his family and him enjoy the time he had left. The Macmillan Nurses went above and beyond their roles to allow Colin to pass away peacfully surrounded by his friends and family.

On the 5th of August this year, we would like to honour him by holding the same event, in his name. There will be around 14-15 people Kayaking from Perth to Broughty-Ferry. This event has been already set up and organised, we just need to raise the money now.

Please donate so that all the families that face this difficult time, can benefit from the Macmillan Nurses.
