Welcome to The Big Lockdown Family Kahoot Quiz!
Gather your household, organise some tasty snacks, and get ready for a quiz night in the comfort of your own home. All money raised will go to Start Up Stirling, who are currently doing a magnificent job of providing a home delivery crisis food service during the Coronavirus pandemic, for vulnerable households in the Stirling area. £5 per entry/device.
Instructions and Terms & Conditions
This quiz has been put together by volunteers to raise funds for Start Up Stirling.
The quiz contains 6 rounds - General Knowledge, Entertainment, Music, History, Sport, and a Mystery Bonus Round. Each round contains 10 questions on a timer.
This is a family friendly event, with a mix of questions suitable for different ages.
Points are awarded based on correct answer, speed of answer, and length of correct answer streak.
Your chosen team name (nickname) may be seen by children so please choose something appropriate. Rude, offensive, and otherwise inappropriate team names will be disqualified.
Entry is £5 per team name (nickname) entered (this equates to £5 per device)
To enter please make a £5 donation to Start Up Stirling via the Quiz JustGiving page. Gift Aid is not applicable for the purposes of this quiz.
Check your email inbox for a confirmation email from JustGiving. This will contain your challenge link for Kahoot.
To play you will need an internet ready device containing a search engine, like a phone, tablet, or laptop (either Apple or Android).
The challenge link may only be used once with every £5 donation. If you wish to enter more than one team name (nickname), please donate again.
The quiz can be played on a single device, as an individual player or as a team/family effort. Or you can play together on multiple devices (£5 per device) to have your own family challenge and compete against each other.
The prize is a Big Family Night In Hamper provided by Morrisons Stirling, including treats and activities to enjoy as a family, and including a family size pizza from the Deli counter (see photo gallery). Due to current guidance you will need to collect the hamper directly from Morrisons yourself, and not from the Start Up Stirling office.
If you live outwith the Stirling area, and would be unable to claim the prize in the event of winning, please enter the quiz at your own discretion. Obviously we welcome people playing for the fun of it and purely to donate to Start Up Stirling, but we cannot offer an alternative prize if you live outwith the area. However, if you have family or friends in the Stirling area, you may nominate them to redeem the prize on your behalf.
If you make it onto the leader board when you have completed the quiz, please screenshot or photograph the leader board, and email your photo, along with your real name and phone number, to fundraising@startupstirling.org.uk. Please enter ‘Team (nickname) Quiz Entry’ in the subject line. Your personal details will only be used for the purposes of contacting a winner and will not be stored or used by Start Up Stirling for any other reason.
If you are not on the leader board when you have completed the quiz, or if you do not intend to claim the prize, you do not need to email your details to Start Up Stirling.
The overall winner will be the person at the top of the leader board when the competition is closed.
Start Up Stirling will contact the winner when the competition closes and will advise you how and when to collect your hamper from Morrisons.
Should the prize be forfeited, Start Up Stirling will contact the runner up.
In the event of a tiebreaker, all top score names will be placed in a hat and an overall winner drawn.
The quiz opens on 12 June 2020 at 12 noon and closes on 22 June 2020 at 12 noon and can be played at any time of your choosing between these dates.
The maximum number of participants is 2000. Should that number be reached before the end of the competition, we reserve the right to close the competition early.
Start Up Stirling may request to publish the winner’s real name on social media for marketing purposes.
