Launched back in 2001 by a group of Manchester mums, The Big Birthday Appeal uses birthdays and other celebrations as opportunities to help children who are in need. 

Big Birthday aims to:

• Inspire and empower kids of all ages to think of others

• Educate children to give charity regularly

• Encourage children to appreciate what they have and to practise gratitude

• Raise money for children who are in need.
