Story
If you know me then you'll know that I'm not one for exercise and if you don't know me then I'll tell you that I'm not one for exercise!
***Phase 1 of my challenge was in May 2023. I walked 60k (around 37miles) for The Eve Appeal.
I did this not only to get a kick start for my own fitness, but equally as importantly to encourage my waxing clients to understand that the smear test they're avoiding is more important and quicker than a Brazilian wax! (If you're a client reading this then please still come in for your waxes too!)
I set a low target of £50 and so far I've raised about £150 in online and cash donations. Thank you so much to everyone who donated!
***Phase 2 starts on Thursday 24th August 2023 when four of us walk nearly 40 miles along the Norfolk Coastal Path from Cromer to Gorleston on Sea. This is the first time I'll be walking a distance like this and I would appreciate any donations to help fund essential research for gynae cancer and health research.
The Eve Appeal is the UKs leading gynaecological cancer charity. We fund life-saving research and raise awareness of the five gynaecological cancers: womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal.
Every day in the UK, 60 women are diagnosed with one of these cancers. This is far too many. Your donation can help support The Eve Appeal's Ask Eve service so that anyone worried about their gynae health gets the information they need whilst also helping to smash taboos and raise awareness of these cancers, and their signs and symptoms.
Thank you so much.
