Story

Hello all,

I've decided to grow my beard for 365 days consecutively... why you ask? Because I want to raise awareness and money for the UK Sepsis Trust.

This is not only a personal goal for me, it's also in memory of a great man and one of my best friend James', Dad - Terry Sennett. Terry tragically and abruptly past away from Septic shock late last year. He was as funny and generous as they come and an inspiration to many.

I have prepared myself for overheating, endless itching and a year of looking thoroughly homeless. I am however ready to start the year of the beard.

I will be posting updates of my progress on social media for anyone that's interested in following.

Facebook  - https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Beard-Diaries/1409396569384669

Instagram - https://instagram.com/the.beard.diaries/

I'm setting myself quite a big target so any donations little or small will be much appreciated. It would be great if you could follow me on Facebook and instagram as well as this will help further raise awareness for a great cause.

Thank you!

Sam

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
