Story
Throughout the year, the pupils at The Barlow RC High School in East Didsbury come together as a community to raise money for local and international charities.
Our pupils grasp opportunities to help people whose lives are affected by poverty, disadvantage or insecurity.
One of the charities supported by the school is Caritas, Diocese of Salford who help provide a range of professional and volunteer-supported services to people experiencing social disadvantage and need.
Marillac House, the supported accommodation for teenage parents and single homeless young women, Cornerstone Day Centre that provides services to adults facing a wide range of social issues and the St Joseph’s Penny are all run by Caritas.
At Christmas and at Lent, our pupils raise money for Caritas by collecting money in Family Time and by organising a wide range of events; from sponsored silences to cake sales, from raffles to fun runs.
If you’d like to help us raise funds, donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe and once you donate, your money is sent directly to the charity.
Thank you for your help.
