Story
As Anaphylaxis Awareness Week (4th- 10th May) approaches, The Allergy Act has teamed up with Anaphylaxis Campaign to help raise much needed awareness and funds to help the charity continue their amazing work of supporting people with severe allergies.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many fundraising events have been postponed or cancelled, therefore many charities have been left struggling to maintain their services. The Anaphylaxis Campaign receives no government funding and relies on donations in order to operate.
So, I've created a fun fundraiser that can get the whole family involved!
To participate in The Great Virtual Bake Off, all you have to do is- Bake, Donate and Nominate!
1. Bake your favourite Allergen Free treats or snacks and post a picture of them online tagging @theallergyact and @anaphylaxis_campaign along with the hashtag #GVBakeOff
2. Donate through the Just Giving Page to Anaphylaxis Campaign
3. Nominate and tag others to participate and help raise awareness of allergies!
So get your ingredients ready for Anaphylaxis Awareness Week and pick out your recipes! You can bake as many Allergen Free treats as you like and make sure to post your photos online to help create awareness!
Everyone in the family can participate in this fundraiser and you'll also get lots of baking inspiration from the delicious Allergen Free bakes that your friends will be posting!
Money raised helps to campaign for change in key areas and make a positive difference to people with allergies as well as producing research materials and resources to increase awareness and education.
