Story

Dear friends, old, new and those we've yet to meet, thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Back in 2005 Debbie's mum, Kathy Alford (affectionately known to some as GranNan wiv da wonkee brain) was diagnosed with dementia. We struggled long and hard to keep her as independent as we could but in the end the disease won, as it always does, and she needed professional, 24 hour help.

More and more of us are going to suffer with this cruel disease as the poplation ages and we need to find a way to put a halt to this and this is what the Altzheimer's Society is aiming for. A better quality of life for us all in our old age.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Big love - Debbie, Kelly and Jack (aka The Alford Pack) xxx
