Story
Hey, I am running the Sheffield half marathon on 27th May (!!) to raise money for the Anthony Nolan, on behalf of Sheffield Marrow.
Anthony Nolan is the UK's largest stem cell register, which helps find donors for people with blood cancer, such as leukaemia, for whom a transplant of healthy blood stem cells or bone marrow is their last chance of survival. For some people, a member of their family will be a match, but 70% of people will need an unrelated donor. Because bone marrow is very specific, it is really difficult to find an unrelated match and therefore Anthony Nolan needs as many people as possible to sign up as donors so as to increase the chances of matching a donor to a recipient. However, it costs £100 to put just one person on the donor register.
I volunteer with Sheffield Marrow, which is one of the student run branches of Anthony Nolan. We aim to help add students to the donor register and to fundraise. I would really appreciate every little donation towards my 13 miles.

Thank you very much.
Love,
Thea x
