Story

Hi there!

I'm Myro, I'm a illustrator based in Manchester and I wanted to commemorate the first anniversary of the Arena attack by spreading some much needed Manchester spirit. In exchange for a donation, my artist friend Jen or I will come to your business and draw a Manchester bee on your window - it's a great way to show solidarity and spread positivity, as well as donating to the amazing Manchester Emergency Fund run by the British Red Cross, which continues to support those affected by the attack last year.

We will be trying to do as many bees as possible on the first anniversary, Tuesday 22nd May 2018. I will be starting in North Manchester, Jen in South Manchester and we will work our way towards the centre hopefully finishing at the Arena itself. We are asking for a £10 donation but you are welcome to donate more if you wish - it really is a phenomenal cause.

If you have a business in the Manchester area and wish to commission a bee, please e-mail myro@myrodoodles.com and when I've confirmed a space on our list you are welcome to make your donation to this page. Sadly we do not have the time or means to go round drawing on private properties, but if you'd like to make a donation to help us along you're very welcome to do so and it would be very much appreciated.

If you'd like to put your business forward for a bee, help us out on the day or spread the word, please get in touch by finding us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (@The22BeesProject) and e-mailing myro@myrodoodles.com and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. ]

Thank you so much for all donations and support. The attack changed all our lives; we're hoping this project reminds people the spirit of Manchester lives on and raises some money to support those who are still living with the aftermath on a daily basis.

Thank you,

Myro + Jen x
