Story

The West Brom Makes a Wheel Difference

for Marie Curie

Despite winter making an early appearance, our hardy band of riders from the West Brom Building Society made it through the wind and the wet to raise funds for the Society’s chosen charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care.

With a route covering more than 80 miles, the magnificent West Brom Wheelies completed their Black Country branch-to-branch cycle challenge in aid of this vital and much-needed charity.

While our team didn’t quite break into a chorus of ‘Climb every mountain’ there were certain plenty of hills to climb along the way, made worse by the sudden turn in the weather.  But overcome the conditions they did, inspiring us to sing their praises: “Well done, West Brom Wheelies, you did the Society proud!”

The riders themselves would like to thank the support of all those who have  contributed so generously in helping to keep the wheels turning on this tremendous effort – indeed, there’s still time to pump up the total even further as the Society moves up a gear in its fundraising efforts for Marie Curie.
