Hi, I'm Neil. I'm a 57 year old normal bloke. (some might disagree)
In January this year I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. After the initial shock, I was soon given a treatment plan. I am going to have my prostate removed this June.
I was reassured that everything will be fine. Life can carry on as normal before the op and will do so again after my recovery.
I run marathons and am currently training to run two Ultra Marathons in May and June this year. All before my operation, all whilst living with a cancer inside me.
I'm raising money for research, but also to send a message:
Guys, if you are in any way worried or suspect something may not be quite right, get yourself checked out. There is nothing to fear if any problems are identified in time.
This is not about me proving something. I just want to highlight that my life and activities are carrying on as planned. My initial fears have gone. I'm enjoying my training and looking forward to running a 40 mile race this May, followed by a 70 mile race in June.
So, please donate to my page if you can. if you can't then that's ok, but if in doubt get checked out. If my page can raise some money, that's great, if it helps saves someone's life, then that is priceless!
Thanks for reading,
Neil.
