We love a challenge, so this Summer Mark and I and participating in the national 3 Peaks 24 hour Challenge. This is by far our biggest challenge yet! Many of you will know that the last year has been challenging for us as a family, we have had to deal with quite a lot and as such we have all been on a journey - a journey to find meaning but most of all, hope.

To cut a long story short, we found our church, Alive, in Hykeham and we are so proud to call this our family home. We have met great friends and developed a new found understanding. Our church provides support for the wider community. So we want to raise money for a new community venue which will be planted within the south of Lincoln City, in North Hykeham. We are excited about all the things we could do under one building. Foodbank, CAP  (Christians Against Poverty, Debt Centre), Alpha, Toddle-in, a base for community groups like Butterflies and Men in Sheds, (both community run projects aimed at helping loneliness and supporting the older generation) as well as alternative provision for excluded pupils. Not least, hosting our ever growing Sunday church services which are currently spilling out the door most weeks! We believe strongly that these causes are critical to support our local community and this is why we are undertaking this three peaks challenge - This is going to be hard, but we really believe in the cause and want to give something back.
