Story
Ok so when Mr Mc asked me if i fancied doing an abseil i immediately agreed, hey, why not? "It's 60 metres" he said. "Yeah, so" I believe my reply was. It didn't exactly occur to me quite how high 60 metres was until a few days later, driving through Leeds, Richard pointed out a towerblock of flats. "You see that block of flats?" he asked. I glanced up to the top of the flats which may as well be in the clouds they were so high "Yes" I replied desperately hoping he was about to tell me the 'Big Drop' was going to be half of that at least! "Well that's not quite 60 metres" !! Oh S**T!!
So here we are, counting down the months, weeks and days to the day I drop down the side of a Dam whilst screaming with terror, crying so hard it will make Paul Gascoigne's 1990 outburst look like a sniffle and shaking like the Churchill Dog in a washing machine! Whilst Richard will no doubt glide down, with grace and confidence and then take full advantage of teasing me about this day for the rest of my life!
Now we've signed up I can't back out, for one, it is against my nature (Good old fashioned Cook Stubborness) and for two, it is all in aid of a very good cause.....Britsh Red Cross!
So both myself and Richard would be most grateful if you could spare a few pennies to contribute to this fantastic cause to make the whole "situation" very well worth while.
Many Thanks
Kelly and Richard x
