This year The London Pantomimers performance of Jack and the beanstalk is dedicated to Sue Davis who ran the box office for us for many years.
Sue revolutionised the way the box office was run and no matter how busy it got she always had time to chat to everyone and always had a smile on her face.
Last year Sue ran the box office despite battling cancer. The box office opened as she was recovering from 6 months of chemotherapy and from 2 operations. In December when the box office is at it's busiest and when the show opens Sue was undergoing daily radiotherapy treatment. For those of you that saw her at the box office last year you never would have guessed because she was still busy, still smiling and still laughing.
Unfortunately Sue lost her battle over the summer. She was treated for 24 years at the Royal Marsden Hospital. The care and treatment that they provide is of the highest quality. Every patient really does matter in that hospital.
The London Pantomimers are supporting the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity this year to say thank you for the care and support that they gave Sue and her family. By supporting the hospital we can make sure that they can continue to give life saving treatment to cancer patients and continue their research discovering new treatments and cures for cancer.
