Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are an international network of researchers based in several universities across the world, including the University of Southampton. HATCH is short for Haemoglobin After inTraCranial Haemorrhage. We have come together to put our expertise and resources together to perform leading edge research into brain haemorrhage. You can find more information about our work by clicking here.

Brain haemorrhage, or bleeding in the brain, is sudden and catastrophic. It usually leaves people with significant disability which may be physical or mental. There is a dire need for more research to help doctors and nurses improve outcome after brain haemorrhage.

On this webpage, we are seeking funds to support a genetic study in patients with brain haemorrhage ("subarachnoid haemorrhage"). Through this genetic study, we aim to identify a drug target to improve people's lives after brain haemorrhage.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they will never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they will send your money directly to the University of Southampton, which is a registered charity. The University will manage the funds, supporting research into brain haemorrhage by the HATCH Consortium. So it is the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
