So it's that time of year again, and the Bupa Great Manchester Run is just around the corner.

Yet again I've signed up to complete my annual jog from Manchester City Centre to Old Trafford and back (via the Imperial War Museum), and I am just about to embark on a week of warm weather training (a week's holiday in Greece) to prepare for the race.

Once again I am rasing money for The Christie - a great local charity.

This will be my 5th year completing the run, and I am hoping for a 5th consecutive personal best, and hopefully break that 50 minute barrier which I was so close to breaking last year with a time of 50:35.
