Story
On the 14th of February 2021, we unexpectantly and tragically lost our wonderful, funny, supportive, amazing Dad and no amount of words will be able to explain the heartbreak of losing him.
In October 2022, 9 of his family members are running the London Marathon in memory of him and although Dad didn't pass away from his heart condition, we are raising money for the Cardiomyopathy UK Charity.
Alongside with being an incredible father to us, he was so many things to so many different people. He was a loving and respectful husband to Mum, a playful and caring Grandad to his grandsons, hilarious and trusting older brother to his siblings, and an incredible loyal person to all of his friends. What everyone admired about Dad was that he loved to make the effort. He made endless amount of effort with friends and family, his work colleagues both past and present and the most lovely of all, made the effort with people he didn't personally know. He couldn't walk down our street without stopping and talking to all the neighbours, or walk through the aisle of Waitrose without stopping for a catch up with people he knew, people he recognised or the shop assistants he happened to be speaking to a few weeks prior.
Over the course of the next year, we will be hosting various events, where all proceeds will be donated to the charity. This will range from Golf days to Quiz nights to allow us to be in a good stead to hit our £18,000 target.
