Story
The Emscote Run is the UK’s longest-running charity pub run. The annual event – now in its thirteenth year – is organised and participated by a tight-knit group of Warwickshire locals in partnership with The Myton Hospice and has helped raise thousands of pounds for their cause.
Each year we pull on our athletics gear, bid farewell to our loved ones and embark on a gruelling 3-mile run littered with self-imposed pitfalls and obstacles. We hurdle (at least) 12 pubs – clearing 12 different drinks – and raise money in the process. Last year we collected over £400 on the run and raised £1300 in total!!
Emscote Run XIII will be held on the 27th of August, starting at 3 pm. As always, the start line will be in Warwick’s Market Square at The Thomas Lloyd; hurdling The Tilted Wig, The Old Coffee Tavern, The Punch Bowl, The Roebuck, The New Bowling Green, The Oak, The Black Pug, Lord Nelson, Elephant & Castle, and The Fat Pug on our way through to the finish line in Leamington.
