Story
Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
The Draper family want to take part in the 2.6 challenge to ensure charities like St Luke’s Hospice are still around long after Corona Virus to help & support people from across Sheffield at the end of their lives.
We will be running a 2.6 miles (Daisy’s idea) on our daily exercise, when we get there we’re going to 26 star jumps (Arthur’s idea) & then share 26 hugs (Stanley’s idea). Please sponsor us to help raise vital funds for St Luke’s Hospice at this time when their charity shops are shut & their normal fundraising events can’t go ahead.
