General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, like The Underdog, have seen their funding under pressure as people struggle and adapt to the new normal.  

Our little volunteer run charity has had to put a lot of our work on hold but we continue to offer Underdog Unity, a valuable, free service for dog walking for people who can not walk them their selves as the pandemic continues to disrupt lives and cause illness.

Research has proven how beneficial, and valuable, the bond between dog and human has become and as the restrictions are lifted we know there will be much work for us to do, bringing children and animals together, particularly as people struggle with reduced incomes, lost love ones and long periods of isolation.
