The Compass School, Haddington is having a Rainbow Day this Friday, 8 May, when we are asking children and their families and staff to dress up in all as many colours of the rainbow as they can and send photos of themselves to their class teacher via Seesaw of directly to the School Office. Whole families can join in too, so everybody can have fun dressing up as colourfully as possible. We aim to make a colourful montage of the results!

At the same time, we would ask that, if at all possible, a donation can be made via this page to the charity, CHAS who have approached The Compass School asking if we can help them.

CHAS stands for Children Hospices Across Scotland. CHAS provide the only hospice care for children in Scotland who with life shortening conditions and the charity is dedicated to supporting those children and their families as they face the toughest challenge of their lives.

With the spread of COVID-19, providing the many services CHAS ordinarily do has become incredibly difficult overnight, meaning these families are even more isolated than ever before. CHAS are working closely with the NHS to continue to provide end of life care in both Rachel House and Robin House as well as launching the world’s first virtual children’s hospice to ensure they can still support families while they are self-isolated as well as keeping them and CHAS staff as safe as possible.
