Story
As you can imagine, with the constantly changing situation and guidelines it has been difficult to make a decision about our next production.
We have discussed with the team at the wonderful local theatre we use; unfortunately due to current social distancing advice and the extra requirements needed to make the building ‘Covid safe’, it is just not possible to arrange their own stage productions for the near future which will cause delays, and the Players would not be able to start rehearsals with enough preparation time for a show in the New Year.
The cast and crew are inevitably upset about this, as our loyal audience will be too. However, it is not the end of the Community Players - we’re simply seeing it as a longer than normal interval
We still intend to try and support local charities in the meantime and therefore we are taking part in the Markovitz Virtual Sparkle Night 2020 to help raise vital funds for Ashgate Hospicecare at a time when they have never needed our support more. For any donation that you can give, it will help to provide compassionate end of life care to patients with a life-limiting illness and their families when it matters most. Thank you from each and every one of us 🙏
