The Challenge is to complete the Coast to Coast off road route in 5 days. This 218 mile epic, crosses 3 National Parks and is based on the route made famous by Tim Woodcock, which has now become the "Holy Grail" of UK off-road tours. It starts at St Bees in Cumbria (West Coast) and finishes in Robin Hood's Bay (East Coast) in North Yorkshire. The challenge requires us to complete an average of 43 miles per day, although on some days we will need to do considerably more.

The reason why I chose this particular charity is because my father suffered with kidney disease for many years and has since passed away.
