My name is Louise and I am a driving instructor from Hampshire.  Last November while watching 'Children in Need' I thought 'Why aren't us driving instructors doing something to raise money for such a great cause? - Lets do something! How about a Big Learner Relay?! We could relay a top box (the kind that driving instructors have on the roof of their cars) from one driving lesson to another around the country!?'

Well, to cut a long story short, and with fantastic help from my committee and many others, we now have a relay planned!  147 legs/handover locations over 13 days,  hundreds of instructors and pupils participating over the 2130+ mile route - and plenty of fun in between!

The relay starts in Northern Ireland on Thursday 30th October at 8am then crosses the water and continues its convoy around the UK, finishing in Birmingham on the 14th November - Children in Need Appeal Day 2014.

Thank you for your donation.  If you are a driving instructor then find a relay leg near you, bring a pupil and join the fun... If you are not a driving instructor then be prepared to be held up by an convey of spotty cars on a road near you!
