There's something for everyone in The Big Golf Race. Choose from the Half Marathon (2 rounds, 36 holes, 13 miles in a day), the Marathon (4 rounds, 72 holes, 26 miles in a day) or even the Ultra Marathon (5.5 rounds, 100 holes, 35 miles in a day).

Story

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That’s thousands of dads, brothers, partners, grandads, mates, sons and uncles. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Nolan Andrews, Andy Bates, Michael Bell, Alan Boston, Chris Cochrane, Sam Corbett, Darren Cromey, Dave Currie, Jonny Eakin, David Graham, Lee Griffiths, Jamie Irwin, Tim Jebb, Alex McComb, Ben McCord, Stuart McDonagh, Garth McGee, Shane Meharg, Andy Morgan, Chris Mullin, Mark Leinster, Neil O'Hara, Dale Orr, Merv Poli, Gordon Rea, James Rea, Gary Robb, Dave Saligari, Colin Small, Michael Smith, Philip Smith, Andrew Smyth and Stephen Van Houten are taking on The Big Golf Race at Helen's Bay Golf Club on Friday 7th June to help raise money and awareness of prostate cancer to keep men in the game for longer.

Our plan will be to meet at 4:30am, with a view to teeing off at 5am, completing 72 holes hopefully before darkness, and then staggering in to the 73rd hole for some well earned refreshments!

In addition, on the same day our club facilities manager Adrian Brennan will roll back the years and run the 72 holes, all in support of this great cause.

Your donation will help fund lifesaving research to find better tests to diagnose men sooner. Thank you for your support.
