Embracing Challenges with Courage and Determination - Join Me in the Ultra Golf Race!
Dear friends, family, and caring supporters,
Life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way. At 26, I faced Hodgkin's Disease head-on and emerged victorious. Now, three decades later, I find myself battling cancer once again, this time with a rare form of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, alongside my ongoing fight against advanced Prostate cancer. Despite the hurdles and the exhaustion from my hormone treatment, I refuse to let these illnesses define me.
I am a firm believer in staying positive and active, refusing to let cancer hold power over my life. As a testament to this mindset, I am taking on the monumental task of the Ultra Golf Race for Prostate Cancer UK. Alongside my supportive brother, Russell Kilpatrick, we will be playing 72 holes in 1 day, covering about 30 miles at the challenging and stunning Remedy Oak club in Dorset.
The journey ahead is daunting, but I am fueled by the unwavering love of my family, the incredible support of my friends, and the exceptional care of the NHS staff in Bournemouth and Poole. Their presence in my life gives me the strength and resolve to face each day with courage and determination.
The funds raised through this golf challenge will make a tangible difference in supporting Prostate Cancer UK and helping those in need. Your contribution, no matter the size, will be a beacon of hope for countless men and families who are affected by Prostate cancer every year. 1 IN 8 men get told they have Prostate cancer and I was one of the 8.
We humbly ask for your support as we navigate this path of resilience and determination. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and stand united against cancer.
Thank you for your generosity, your encouragement, and your belief in the power of perseverance in the face of adversity.
A HUGE shout out to the team at Remedy Oak, who have turned a competition, on June 22nd, in honour of Prostate Cancer UK and to help raise even more funds for our Ultra Golf Race on June 24th
With deep gratitude and unwavering determination,
Bless you,
Nige and Russ 🧡
