Story
My father (Stewart) was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer at the end of 2022. Fortunately, it was caught early & our hope is that Dad will make a full recovery. He underwent an intensive course of Radiotherapy in May. He’s received excellent treatment so far, for which the whole family are grateful. This led to me thinking about what we could do to help make a difference to someone else who might be affected by the same illness. Every 45 minutes a man dies of Prostate cancer, and 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with the illness in their lifetime. Along with my brother Mike, & a group of close family friends, we will be taking on the Prostate Cancer UK’s Big Golf Race on July 13th @ Henley Golf Club. A golfing challenge created by Prostate Cancer UK that involves playing 72 holes in one day. The aim is to walk all 4 rounds which equates to about 26 miles from dawn to dusk! The team: Richard Woolfrey Mike Woolfrey James Baker Steve Brown Ian Heggie Jody Measures Matt Langford James Barron Paul Chedzey. Please donate and help us raise money for this great charity. Your donation will help fund lifesaving research to find better tests to diagnose men sooner. Thank you for your support.
