"JOB DONE"
On 13th July myself and 7 other golfers completed the "Big Golf Race" Marathon challenge of 4 rounds in 1 day.
Starting at 05:00 we finally completed at 19:30. Weather was mostly kind until the last 2 holes when the rain came down very heavily, however this didn't deter us from completing the challenge and then having a few celebratory drinks and well earned sit down in the bar after.
A huge thank you to everyone that has donated to mine and the teams just giving pages, supporting us in raising money for this fantastic cause. Also thanks to Caister golf club for their support and use of the golf course, Reece and Sam in the catering and also my team members who by agreeing to do the challenge with me have helped raise more money than I ever expected when setting up the challenge.
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That’s thousands of dads, brothers, partners, grandads, mates, sons and uncles. But it doesn’t have to be this way. I’m taking on The Big Golf Race to help raise money and awareness of prostate cancer to keep men in the game for longer. Your donation will help fund lifesaving research to find better tests to diagnose men sooner.
Thank you for your support.
