Story
Prostate Cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, killing one man every 45 minutes in the UK. That's the same time it takes to play three holes of golf.
Well, 3 holes is easy...what about 72 holes (26 miles) in 1 day? this is exactly the challenge that we are (myself, my nephew Jack, friend Louis and TBA) undertaking all in aid of raising as much money as possible for Prostate Cancer.
The big day is June 25th, it's a massive challenge as we are attempting to play 4 rounds of golf in 1 day which is equivalent to a Marathon, madness I know.
What’s more of a challenge is that my Dad has Prostate Cancer and currently having treatment so although this is a challenge, what he is going through is far more challenging.
This is therefore really personal to me and I would really like to raise as much money as I can to show support for both my Dad and anyone else who has had Prostate Cancer or is going through treatment themselves as investing in treatment is so crucial.
One special condition is that on the last hole, the 72nd hole, Dad will be waiting for us to sink the final putt just to make it even more special.
You can read more about the challenge here on https://prostatecanceruk.org/get-involved/golf/the-big-golf-race
The money raised by this challenge will help fund research into life-saving treatments for prostate cancer and provide practical support to men and their families.
Thanks for all of your support :)
