Story
Prostate Cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, killing one man every 45 minutes in the UK. That's the same time it takes to play three holes of golf.
That's why on 29th June at Guildford Golf Club we are golfing 72 holes (4 rounds) in approximately the time it takes to claim 20 lives and taking on The Big Golf Race, to help reduce the impact of this disease on all men, golfers or non-golfers!
The money raised by this challenge will help fund research into life-saving treatments for prostate cancer and provide practical support to men and their families.
We are fortunate that this disease has had limited effect on our family, but Ollie’s grandfather (John) has benefitted from the wonderful treatments currently available that have kept things at bay for a few years now.
Given the prevalence of the disease, if it is not us (as men), then it might be a father, son, brother, uncle, friend that we know. Please help us make this challenge worthwhile and give generously. For the golfers amongst you, a sponsorship of £20 or more will enter you into our draw to play a round of golf with Ollie, 2022 Ski Cross Beijing Winter Olympian.
Thank you to Guildford Golf Club and their members for their support.
