Story
Playing golf all day? How hard can it be?
In short, really hard. Our Team of 3: Gareth, Nathan & Jake will be playing 72 holes of golf on 2nd August at Prenton Golf Club. The first tee-off will be 5am. The last hole will be played as the sun goes down at 9pm. They will have to find a short window to eat and drink to fuel up.
Each round of 18 holes burns 1000 calories and will see them walk approx 6 miles each time (depending on how way-ward their shots are!). No buggies or caddies allowed. They will each be doing do that 4 times in the same day.
Why? For a super important cause. Please dig deep and support as generously as you can afford.
Prostate Cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, killing one man every 45 minutes in the UK. That's the same time it takes to play three holes of golf. That's why we are golfing the distance and taking on The Big Golf Race, to keep men in the game for longer. The money raised by this challenge will help fund research into life-saving treatments for prostate cancer and provide practical support to men and their families.
