Story
On the 22nd of July we will be walking a marathon in a day whilst playing golf in aid of prostate cancer.
Across the UK, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, with around 1 in 8 developing it in their lifetime with the risk increasing for men with a family history. 129 men are diagnosed every day and a man dies every 45 minutes.
Both of us have been affected by prostate cancer in some way, meaning that even after our 18th blob of the day, 3rd pack of balls and having to put up with each other’s superb bants, there is a very good reason to keep swinging.
The average round of golf takes 3.5/4 hours, so we will be teeing off about 6am and hoping to finish before 10pm.
We understand that the past year has been difficult for a lot of people and any contribution to this tremendous cause will be greatly appreciated, no matter how big or small 🤝
As a bonus every birdie we make we will be adding £10 each to the fund.
Many thanks,
Jack and Greg
