Take heART was formed in July 2021 by a group of like-minded
staff members who are all passionate about increasing the availability of the
Arts for our patients, visitors and staff.

Our key aims are:

1. To
   support and enhance wellbeing among patients, visitors and staff to our
   hospitals through the Arts
2. To
   foster links between our hospitals and the communities they serve through the
   Arts
3. To
   aim for parity in the provision of the Arts at both of our hospital sites

What have we achieved
so far?

We have completed 9 large projects bringing new art to the
walls of our 2 hospital sites

We have run multiple highly popular and successful creative
workshops for hundreds of staff members aimed at improving their wellbeing and
a sense of connection

We have listened to more than 1,000 of our staff and patients
who have voted on what art they would like to see on our walls 

We have collaborated with our surrounding communities,
including other charities, local schools, the University of Bedfordshire and
several local artists

We have been featured on the BBC and other websites

How are we funded?

We rely largely on donations and grants.  We depend on your generosity to maintain and
expand our Arts programme in our hospitals.
