Story
Last year, a team of runners in orange and black runner vests took to the streets of London to run 10 kilometres in a bid to raise awareness about the number one cause of death for men under 50 in the UK: suicide.
It's time to do it again.
CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) is a very important organisation to me, which is why I am doing what I can to help support them. Their latest initiative called #SaveTheMale is a bid to raise as much awareness as possible about mental health issues currently affecting loads of men and how society not only fails to assist them but also exacerbates the problem itself. I know what it's like to have dealt with depression, self-harm, and attempted suicide. I'm fortunate to still be alive. It is for this reason that I cannot in good conscience leave another man in similar circumstances to struggle with it alone.
Please join me in helping spread the word. If you cannot make a donation, please share this page. Together, we can do something to stem the tide of male suicide. Thank you.
