Story

In honor of Sammy, and the invaluable service he provides, your contribution will help us sponsor a puppy that will one day lead someone who is blind or visually impaired. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $5,000 which will allow us to name the puppy and receive periodic updates about his or her progress.

As dogs so unselfishly do, Sammy has provided support and comfort to so many members of the community in the past year as they have coped with the loss of loved ones. 

In honor of Sammy, and the invaluable service he provides we have created this page because we want to make a difference. We are inspired by the work of The Seeing Eye and wanted to support them by raising money as part of the ThankyouSammy campaign. Please help us help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. About the charity

The Seeing Eye's mission is to enhance the independence, dignity and self-confidence of people who are blind, through the use of specially trained Seeing Eye® dogs. In pursuit of this mission, The Seeing Eye breeds and raises puppies to become Seeing Eye dogs, trains Seeing Eye dogs to guide blind people, instructs blind people in the proper use, handling, and care of the dogs and conducts and supports research on canine health and development.
